We are pleased to announce eROSA’s second Stakeholder Workshop!
After the successful first eROSA workshop in which we identified available infrastructures and e-infrastructure capabilities for open science in agri-food, we are organising the second eROSA workshop looking at the societal & scientific challenges in agricultural & food systems, that could be facilitated through the development of a global e-infrastructure in line with the European Open Science Cloud’s agenda. The second eROSA workshop will take place on 27-28 November 2017 at Wageningen UR, Netherlands by the name “Challenges & Solutions towards an e-Infrastructure for Open Science in Agriculture”.
With the increasing digitization of agriculture and food systems, many new opportunities arise for research and innovation to further enable discovery of new applications, brokering pre-competitive partnerships for collaboration, and agenda setting for promising developments.As activities go increasingly "online" and produce vast amounts of data,e-Infrastructures are key in the future development of Research Infrastructures that aremajor instruments for the advancement of science, technology and knowledge.E-Infrastructures are at the heart of the Digital Agenda of the European Commission in support to Open Science as they offer unprecedented scale and potential for collaboration between researchers, education communities, citizens and business companies beyond national, administrative and scientific discipline boundaries.
